Re: Ratdude's Main rig V3.5
He's making enough to afford it. As long as he's reasonable about it, it's cool....

Re: Mobile Core 2 Quad Question
That sucks about the seller though. You were all excited about it. Oh well. Another try, another day.

"Tinkering" still leaves plenty of time in a day when you think about it. Besides, periods suck. Just saying.

Re: Windows 7 Networking Woes
Thank you all for the advice! I really do appreciate it. My laptop already runs cleaner and faster with some junk software uninstalled and the bugs cleared out. I really could care less about it connecting to the printer and server here, as we will be moving houses hopefully by the time fall comes around. I should not need to be printing anything, or if I do, I'll put it on a flash drive or email it to myself or something. I appreciate the fact that he is putting the work into it though. The computer is fast enough for my tastes (I could probably tolerate...

Re: Windows 7 Networking Woes
(this is ratdude posting from her account, as I didn't want to dick up her chrome settings and am too lazy to add another account on this POS laptop or grab another laptop)
Now it is seeing another desktop too... but still no server. I tried the backslashes, no bueno. I can however talk to the server via PuTTY without issues.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall the windows networking client... but when I went to re-install, all the clients and services (and all but one of the protocols) are GONE from the install menu (only option...

Re: Buiding rigs for your signifigant other
I know that it isn't slow, I was simply making a point. I'm not picky when it comes to computers. NO, I will not paint it, I even stated that in my first message... again, just making a point... I would be too afraid that it would bubble or flake and I'd have to to it all over again, which would be WAY too much of a PITB. Not worth it. Hmmm.... removable stickers/rhinestones though.... TEASING, Love. I wouldn't do that.
Also, what does TL;DR stand for?Last edited by Sweet & Spicy; 12-09-2014, 07:48 PM.

Re: Buiding rigs for your signifigant other
I will be fine with whatever he chooses to give me. I am a very patient user of slow computers. I used one at one point a computer that took ten to thirty seconds to load a page before it fully "woke up" and started running normal speed. I was fine with this, as it gave me time to write more on my homework or whatever I was doing.
LED color is one of the least important things, really. Heck, if I don't like the case, I can paint it with a nice design with heat-resistant paint. Ok, may not actually do that, but you...Last edited by Sweet & Spicy; 12-09-2014, 07:27 PM.

Re: How to RUIN a really nice case fan
Ouch! Getting your finger sliced on one of those sounds really bad. Never done it myself. I have twice required stitches for scissor slices before though, and those were moving a lot slower than those fan blades. You all be careful!! I hope the fan wasn't too expensive.
I'm curious as to why RD was up so late/early, but that's not really my business to be poking my nose into.
