This post mainly concerns a computer component.
When I was looking at a 1994 LeCroy Test & Measurement Catalog, I happened to find that the colour LeCroy 7200A (not the lower performance monochrome 7200AM) has a 2.88MB floppy drive as standard.
Typically, a 2.88MB floppy drive (of the 34-pin type) has a Density Select signal at Pin 6 of the interface connector, which (in my belief) selects Vertical recording mode for 2.88MB disks.
A special version of floppy drive emulator firmware (with a minor hardware change) would therefore be required if you want to go through fewer "disk" changes.
If you happen to find any other pieces of test equipment which has (or can be fitted with) a 2.88MB floppy drive, please let me know.
