    Cheap Thrills a $69 dollar 6-core monster!

So just recently i heard about Xeon six cores going for dirt cheap on ebay and I already had a x58 system that I have been using with a Core i7 920 @3.6ghz. the guy wanted $74 for the chip so i made a offer of 69 and he accepted. this chip not only runs about 10 degrees cooler but is much faster and required less volts to do so. It passed 24hr occt stress test and I did 8 hours of occt linpack.

So if you have x58 get one its an amazing deal heres the seller i got mine from. http://www.ebay.com/itm/121250737445

Not a bad price at all, roughly the speed of a current i5. These older Xeons are actually getting to be cheap enough to be worth buying imo.

I've been personally considering getting a X58 system myself; an older Precision with a 3.33 hex core Xeon (most likely a W3680) and 12 gigs of ram. Only issue is not the easiest task to find $250 out of nowhere.

Nice upgrade! I did that also in Q1 of this year with an Xeon X5650 on an Asus P6T Workstation mobo with 12GB Ram and a Nvidia GTX670 GPU for gaming.
Surely it gives another few years of life out of this system. No need to buy a new one. (maybe Skylake-E or so, we'll see.)

        Nice find!
This is a real long shot but does anyone know if either the 2U Intel SR2300 chassis.
Or the Dell Precision 470 chassis can fit any modern mainboards?

Would be sweet with a bargain CPU like this, just need a mobo to go with it

          GI5CNXA MB v1.0 monster Abra A5 V13.3 SR40B HM370

Good luck to everyone, my problem is as follows. I have a la-f841p rev 1a motherboard, which occasionally gives a blue screen due to the processor running the motherboard. I installed the southern chipset of this motherboard into the short-circuited device with Monster Abra A5 v13.3 GI5CNXA MB v1.0. When I trigger the monster device, it goes up to 230mah and turns it off again. I have tried many of these devices before, but I did not get any results. They definitely want a brand new chipset. Other models do not have this problem,...

Monster Abra A5 V16.7 SRKMA burned
          by s_specialist
The south bridge (SRKMA) on my Monster Abra A5 V16.7 was burnt, causing a 1.8V short circuit to the chip. I installed a chip I bought from Aliexpress, assuming it was brand new, and the 1.8V output improved, but when I pressed the power button, it drew 0.03A and didn't start. I can measure 3.3V, 1.8V, and 1.05V on the chip. The BIOS has 3.3V on pins 1, 2, 3, and 8. When I pressed the power button, it drops to 3.3V. I get EC_RSMRST voltage from the IT5570E, but I don't have SLP_S4 and SLP-S5 voltages. I've written the bios files I could find, but I can't find anything. Is the integrated circuit...

          Monster Tulpar T7 V25.1 bios
          by s_specialist
Monster Tulpar T7 V25.1 (same MSI GE76 RAIDER 11UG) isn't working. The motherboard outputs 19V, the supply voltages are 3.3V and 5V, the chipset voltage is 1.05V, and the BIOS voltages are all there, but it still isn't working. I replaced the FH82HM570 (SRKMA) and it still isn't working. Has anyone else encountered this issue? What can I do? I'm looking forward to your help. I'm sending you the original BIOS file.
