Re: Panasonic FC series - leaking? quality gone?
Mine, Panny FC's & Nichicon FG came also from Digikey (ordered only once from them), normally I get parts from Mouser and official EU suppliers.

Re: Panasonic FC series - leaking? quality gone?
And if you put them apart, clean the residue away with IPA and a brush and put them away for a long time. Does the corrosion/residue return?
I've cleaned some Panny FC and 1 batch of small Nichicon FG (fine gold audio caps) with the same residue a long time ago, the residue or corrosion has not returned. It maybe a fabrication defect of some spilled electrolyte when they were made? The rest of my stack of caps is still clean.

Re: Surface mount capacitor on my desktop just exploded.
Fyi, the failed polymer caps are Elite RP series.
Polymer failures are rare, so i don't put much trust in Elite polymer caps if i see them in any device.Re: Surface mount capacitor on my desktop just exploded.

Re: Replacement caps for Samwha 10000uf 71va
Maybe there is an extra boardhole to fit the 2 lead version if the designers thought of that? If not you'll need the 4 lead version. Which will be harder to get in low quantity. At this moment I haven't found one at 10000UF 80V. Sometimes capacitor-makers do make custom sizes for their customers so it can be difficult to get exact replacements.
Do you really need to replace those large can caps?
Audio caps mostly are larger in size (and price!) with same capacitance/voltage, they also still are GP/std...

Re: Replacement caps for Samwha 10000uf 71va
Try Nichicon LS _10000UF 80V _L50xD35 _partno. LLS1K103MELC
Could be low availability or 'only on order' with an order-time.
Also try equal Rubycon or NCC/Chemi-Con (85C) standard large-can snap-in caps....Last edited by Clutchbox; 11-24-2017, 10:21 AM.

Re: HX750 can't turn ON
NCC KY 10v 1000uF according specsheet:
1,000 8x20 0.069 Ohm 1,050A
1,000 10x16 0.060 Ohm 1,210A
An ESR of 0,4 Ohm (400 mOhm) is much to high for this capacitor, maybe it was the culprit....

Re: Looking to buy my first hot air station.
No, it's working fine because it's 'professional quality' (it's the predecessor of the current JBC JT model), I even recently replaced the heater with a original new one from JBC official distributor. The old one was worn and aged but not broken yet. The new hose was with the heater in a complete set delivered from JBC. I have 2 hose's now. Both hose's are not 'kink'ing, as to my understanding is also the case with other quality...

Re: MSI X58 PRO - MS-7522 v3.1 - Identifying solid bad caps?
Yeah, troubleshooting mobos can be a real pain....
You can replace the dented cap for another quality polymer-cap "560uF 4v" (or at least with 'Nichicon HM'-class electrolytic 820-1000uF 6,3v cap) to try if that is your problem.
No beeps could mean that the CPU fails to 'initialize'.
Check voltage in&out on all voltage-regulators scattered on the board if you can and try to make sense of it.
But not on the VRM of the CPU because those are...

Re: MSI X58 PRO - MS-7522 v3.1 - Identifying solid bad caps?
The motherboard uses all Nippon Chemi-con PSC-series solid polymer caps, next to Nichicon's native Lx-series & 'Panasonic/Sanyo OS-CON' the highest quality range of polymers you can get.
But:
- I see no coolers on VRM & X58 northbridge & ICH10R southbridge.
- I see no BIOS battery installed.
What is the graphics-card you used...

Re: Old Nichicon Cap Series ID in Ford ECU
I think it is possible that the FC has a longer lifespan than the FR in a car ECU or other automotive application with wide temperature deviations (very cold <> very hot).
Not on the edge of the max. ripplecurrent, but just the longevity in a hars environment:
FC is non-waterbased electrolyte
FR is waterbased electrolyte
FC temp range –55 °C to +105 °C
FR temp range –40 °C to +105 °C
FC has proven it's reliability over many years...

Re: Sony STR-DE875 optional/compatable speaker relays
Have you first try to resolder all the speakerrelay-contacts on the underside? It's a known problem with Sony amplifiers of that era; bad solder-joints on the speakerrelays and elsewhere. (Has something to do with that horrible 'new' lead-free RoHS solder around that era.)

Re: Sony KDL-55HX820 5 red blinks
I see at your first startpost after opening of the TV, that the connector on the T-con (from the cable between mainboard and T-con) is not seated correctly. Such a thing could just give you the '5-blink T-con' Error from the start.
Was that picture taken when you first opened the TV?...

Re: How to know if the problem is from a bad cap ?
Well, i think your Nvidia G6100 Chipset is bad (Northbridge with GPU in it), unfortunately a very common problem. To summon it all up: http://www.laptoprepairwatford.co.uk/nvidia_fault.html
Also Google for more information and take a look here.
I think only replacing the NF-G6100 chip for a brand new one will fix it, but the problem is inside this 'chip-package' itself (failing connection between Chip Die and green Organic Package), so the problem...

Re: More Home Electronics Rescued - Panasonic DVR-320 (2004 Vintage)
I'm certain those blown caps probably weren't Matsushita/Panasonic's own brand or in other words 'Japanese' brand capacitors?
If the apparatus was made in the 90's or earlier, you could bet if it was Panasonic & Made in Japan, it would have the 'all Matsushita Caps' formula. Love those old days of quality...
