out with the old...in with the new.

My limited workspace means that one of my systems need to be put away in order to fit my new Quadra 700.
My Epson equity II is being pavked but I have always had a fear with MFM drives. It seems that if the computers cmos loses power, the drive info is lost and when the system tries to boot, it can't because it has forgotten all file attributes. This system however tips this theory upside down with it's design.
Made in the mid-eighties, it uses an ATX (yes, it it can be turned off in dos command) power supply and has a battery made up of two apple batteries (those batteries are expensive too!). The system has been without the battery and without power before and yet it never loses the drive attributes.
Is it safe to say that if I pack the system away for say two years, the next time it turns on it will remember how to boot?

Then I guess it's safe to assume that it will be fine the next time I need it.
