    VGA Connector Missing Pin

So I can across a missing pin on my VGA connector any one have this problem or can help fix this problems ect.

I would love to fix it, but other then getting new cable I think I am in trouble because I can't find were it broke off.

It shows 15 pins and I have 14 the monitor works fine other then it cutting out horizontally and then going to standby mode until I jiggle the plug a bit and then sometimes it comes back on.

How should I go and fix this, Can I solder a wire to the plug or should I cut the plug off and replace it or should I get a new cable and plug.

if the cable is modular, just replace it... get it online, monoprice.com has execellent quality cables cheap:

if it is not modular, replace the plug... good luck...

At one time, Pin 9 is missing (some connectors have this hole plugged).
Pin 9 is used for DDC (display data channel) +5V (if this is correct), although the monitor can provide +5V internally for the DDC.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

        Re: VGA Connector Missing Pin

Not all pins are required - in fact some monitors only use about 6 of those.

Your problem is either in the VGA cable (bent too much and a wire in it is loose) or the metalic "tubes" inside the vga connector in which the pins come in to make contact are stretched. Or it could also be a poor connection on the PCB for that pin due to bad soldering for example.

Borrow a VGA cable first or go with your VGA cable to a friend to test it with another vga connector.

If the cable is ok, the connector is the problem... and since it's kinda hard to work inside it... so you could just replace it completely.

These may work but you have to check their datasheet and compare with your current connector to make sure the pins of the new vga conn. will go into the pcb holes:

With this one, you can solder wires to each pin and then onto the board so you don't care about the pin layout on the pcb or whatever:

          Re: VGA Connector Missing Pin

I do have a different computer to test my monitor plug on.

I think that the plug was made cheaper by not having all the pins. I have read the 4 pins are not even used on some VGA plugs.

I am thinking of Posting a new thread on how to troubleshoot screen squeeze horizontally as this is the base problem and the reason for all my technical post.

Thanks for resolving the issue with the VGA plug.

DJI Mini Pro 3 missing components near camera connector
            by summerwhite
I have a DJI drone that is not displaying a video feed anymore after a repair.

When tearing down the DJI drone to fix the armature there was some hot glue next to the camera connector that i had to remove.

Now there are missing components either because they got pulled off or because they where never placed.

I have two reference images from XXZ and a photo of mine.

I'm truely hoping someone has another DJI Mini Pro 3 that they can help me identify what these components are and if they are necessary.

On the board view from XXZ they...

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Help identifying connector for ASUS 4090 Strix RGB LED connector
            by 5mall5nail5
            Hi All -

I had replaced my ASUS 4090 Strix cooler with a waterblock and put the stock cooler on the shelf. Was moving it and snagged my sweater on the connector and pulled the wires out of the pins on the RGB connector. I tried to get them back on but its too small so I opened the stamped pins and tried to solder but its not a good repair and the wire broke on reinstallation.

Looking to replace the connector on the cable side and get pins to crimp onto a new cable. Bought random JST and such but nothing is correct. Can anyone help identify the connector and possibly matching...

            Hello guys!

I need help identifying a missing 3 leged SMD component near the SATA data connector on an Intel NUC D34010WYB board.

I tried turning the machine on and measuring the voltages on the three legs, and got the following:

I tried looking for similar components with similar arrangement somewhere on the board and found two similar looking components near the RAM slots:

            They measure the following:

Can you please help me identify what the missing component...

Toshiba Satellite M50-A keyboard connector on LA-A481P motherboard
            by michhak
            Hi guys,
i have a damaged keyboard connector on my older Toshiba Satellite M50-A laptop. I know there is LA-A481P motherboard. In attachment pictures there is a real looking connector and i also found a schematic to the connector. But i need help with finding a real electronic part to replace the damaged connector. e.g. on aliexpress (or different page).
It is 34pin connector and the length from pin n.1 to pin n.34 is 26mm. So it means a pitch length is 0.764 mm. I have seen connectors with 0.5mm , 0.7mm , 0.8mm and 1mm pitch length. But not with 0.75. Is it some special custom connector...
