    My system restarts no warning

Hi everyone, my system in the last few weeks has developed a few issues.
#1. GPU fan needs to be replaced.
#2. Occasional BSOD and applications crashing.
#3. Sudden reboots no BSOD system log all clear.

Problem 1 working to get GPU replaced still under warranty.

Problem 2 ran memtest386 over night may have a stick bit

Problem 3 well I have to investigate seems like some 1 presses the reset button I don't have a clue where to find that source thinking ram or psu.

My system is in my sig.
    any opinions ideas

Re: My system restarts no warning

Well I have noticed restart happens when I'm running vmware player but I think I remember it restarting another time when I was not running vmware.
Also I can play bf3 for 6+ hours no problem.

      ASUS M4A89TD PRO USB3

My dad had one, it did the samething. It started crashing. I memtest it, it kept failing but test the ram in another rig it was fine. I RMA'd it 3 times but I still got the same board back, the third time they just removed the serial sticker and replaced it with another one, it still failed memtest.

The problem was the sideport memory, you can disable it in the bios and memtest again.

it's under AI tweaker, "GFX overclocking" set it to disabled or if you need it set it to UMA.

Well for now I have unpluged the reset switch.
It reset when I was in game.
also so you guys know all my machines have the automatically restart check box unchecked in startup and recovery also this restart happens in either of my win 7 machines
I will also use it in xp and see if xp can trigger it.

From what I have read it may be new mainboard time

If that is the case will it be fine to use same chipset this mb uses?

                          That sucks, I have the M4A89GTD PRO/USB3.

It sounds like lack of voltage somewhere, bump the volts a little and see what happens.

OK bumped up the volts on all mb components and cpu nb.
                            hope it works.
What gets me is it can run fine for 6+ hour heavily loaded. and sometimes 30 mins with lite load, I would expect stress to trigger issue.

One other thing you can try is using Kingston RAM. If that doesn't help, then it's probably the motherboard.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

IMO Corsair RAM is unreliable crap.

I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

                                          Hi!

Asus B85M-GAMER absolute no hdmi output (not at start, not at Windows), and random restarts. Everything work, except hdmi and random restarts after 0.1-3 min. Restarts even in bios. On VGA Windows boots up fast, games and apps starts ok. Mem, psu, cpu changed, no luck. I need shematic, because i think the restarts caused by the hdmi failure.

LG Gram 15Z980 picked up on Ebay for $200 (was sold as parts because no M2 drive and bios pw locked), but otherwise intact and working.

Threw a 500gb M2 in, and was able to install Windows. On Gram, Win activation is stored in the bios, so Windows was automatically activated. I still kept getting random bsod's. Also bought a pw and unlocked the bios.

Upgraded Windows to 11, still didn't solve the random & frequent bsod's. Cleaned & reseated all cables, RAM, etc... still getting frequent bsod's. Bought & installed a new stick of RAM, still getting frequent...

Hi, I've exhausted lots of software side options to try and fix why my nvidia 2070 GPU has disappeared from my gaming laptop MSI GL75-10SFK. The system boots and functions normally but only using Intel integrated graphics. Before, it was working fine then began having some blue screens. (I will attach the system event and mini-dump at the end of post). After a few days of the occasional BSODs it finally disappeared from device manager and never came back. I researched and attempted to troubleshoot this issue but im out of options and was wondering if yall had some ideas maybe on the hardware side....
