      I dont think that's a problem. Changing the type/quality of the caps doesn't affect anything. Audio hobbyists do that all the time especially with older equipment or for upgrading existing equipment. In fact in most cases higher values and rating are used on purpose and that doesnt affect anything. Lower values and ratings might hurt but I dont see any reason why anyone would do that.

      For example, if I were to recap my soundcard I would change all the 100µf caps with 330µf or so and bypass the supply rail caps with 1µ and 0.1µf caps.

      Does anyone know anybody in Minneapolis area who would recap/solder parts for me ?
