i was using a controller off the parallel port running a python program switching the speed of a 5 speed fan when the computer crashes and i look at the psu and i am getting an ac sine-wave along with the dc signal and extra 3v to on all lines how can this happen

Re: python program
Assuming a line voltage fan, yes?
Did the PSU fail and cause the system crash?
Is the AC present when the PSU is by itself? i.e.- Disconnected from system?
Did the controller isolation fail somehow? Would that allow AC back to the system?
Can you diagram the setup?veritas odium paritComment

Re: python program
yes a line voltage fan
yes the PSU fail cause the system crash

no it use magnetic relaysComment

Re: python program
Was this power supply plugged in when the pole transformer went kaboom?
The power supply you're talking about- does it power just the computer or does it also provide the control power? How are you interfacing the parallel port to the relay coils? Probably one bit per relay coil, via some 2N2222 transistors...
On your 5-speed line voltage fan, make sure your program is set to drop one relay before picking up another- don't want more than one speed tap energized at once.
Curious about the motor- multi-tapped shaded pole or PSC?

by reformattEach new release of ME Analyzer only has the scripts but no executable file. It's handy for me to just run the exe in Windows, so came up with the following guide for those that might want it. Didn't see anywhere else how to do it, apologies if it is documented somewhere and I've just missed it.
ME Analyzer – create Windows executable from Python script from GitHub
1. Install Python 3.xx from https://www.python.org/downloads/ – select to add Python to PATH during installation. Current version is Python V3.11.
2. Open an elevated Windows Command Prompt... -
by Nikan.eGreetings and salutations!
I have a device that uses an N32G455RE. Unfortunately, its flash got corrupted. I have a dump of a working chip.
How can I program a specific region of the flash or the whole flash without touching the RAM, option registers, etc.?
I do not have a J-Link debugger and won't buy one, as I am not rich.
I have flashed a Nucleo board with an ST-Link to a J-Link just to find out that the ST-J-Link only supports ST chips.
What would be the cheapest and easiest option to program the Nations chip's flash without touching registers etc.?...-

by pabloroggeriI am trying to program the EC IT8886HE of a Lenovo V310-15ISK with RT809H. (Motherboard DA0LV6MB6F0 REV: E)
According to the programmer's software, it must be connected to the SM BUS of the EC (pins 87 and 88 if I'm not mistaken) through the ISP port of the programmer. However, when I want to read or delete the EC it tells me "bot error"
Someone has programmed these ECs to help me or tell me what mistake I am making. I leave the photos of the connection diagram, the error that appears and the photo of how I connected the ISP cables
Thank you so... - Loading...
