Sharing to a wireless router

I have Verizon DSL. I have 2 ethernet cards in my pc. One for the modem to enter, the other, to share the connection. Thing is, I want to share the connection with a wireless router so that others in my house can connect. Is it possible to do this way?

I know i can go thro the router but I dont want my good comp going thro it so that it receives more speed

Can you just use the built-in connection bridging in XP to do this? I've never tried it before... I would just hook the PC directly to the wireless router. Does the router also have a 4 port switch built in? If you used that, you wouldn't lose any speed.
