I'm looking for some software to watermark my photos that I take before I upload to the internet, but everything I find is well... purchased software. Are there any free alternatives (open source even) out there that I can use?

Re: Photo watermarking
Really annoys me when people do this to pics but I will help you out.

I have used it a few times and it works great. I do not use it often because photos with watermarks tend to block/distort the pic.
Sellers on Ebay that do this to their pics are the most annoying because they often do it to hide a blemish. -

^free for personal use
otherwise, irfanview also has a function for that.
just open a pic, draw a box with your mouse where you want the watermark to be, then "edit" -> "insert text into selection"

by mitsu2kI know many folks on this forum warn against conductive glue and suggest removing it immediately upon site. I'm here to vouch and say these people know what they are talking about. To be more accurate, the glue isn't intended to be and doesn't actually start out conductive. It gets conductive as it is heated by components that get hot. The glue starts out to be a light tan color but as it is exposed to heat, it gets darker and darker until it is a dark brown. I have found that it becomes conductive at the point that it reaches a light brown color on darker.

by Davi.pHi all, i'm asking all to reduce photos to a more comfortable resolution before post, the better like around 2000x2000, otherwise many PC / Tablets / phones refuses often to load them or has strong defection... today's digital cameras integrated in phones especially are a mockery because them saves photos at enormous resolutions with much less the real definition, so reducing them is only a good deal.. THANKS!!...

by wattageHello Badcaps Community,
I purchased a preowned AOC monitor that is not working and out of warranty. It was sold as not working. I am looking for guidance on self-repair. In particular, I am after the firmware for the monitor. At the end, I have included monitor model information and links to pics and vids of the issue.
The problem is that it will not display a picture on any of its inputs. And the on-screen menu does not appear. The power button works properly. It powers on with the remote as well. But the on-screen menu does not appear, even when not connected to any...-

by FallenOne008Hi everyone, hope all is well. I have run into a problem where my backlight screen is no longer working.
The original screen was beginning to show signs of faultiness. I believe it was part of the inverter board that was going bad. The backlight for the screen was still functional at this point. Well one night as I was tinkering with the laptop, my idiot self forgot to disconnect the battery from the motherboard. I attempted to reconnect the EDP cable onto the motherboard, and as you might guess, I saw a nice spark from the cable and the port. Don't worry, I'm still kicking myself... - Loading...
