i have 2 IEI ppc-5170gs touchscreen computers that i got for nothing as the screens were faulty and IT just bought new ones,
one of them i have just sorted the ccfl's out and fitted a power supply so it runs on 12Vdc not 240Vac
ready to put this in my mk1 astra (kadett-D) to playing music, films and using satnav etc.
info on pc/screen

but i have found there is no way of controlling the screen brightness except through the intel extreme 2 display settings (the motherboard has a LVDS Connector a bit like a laptop so no external screen controls as its driven from the MB)
i created a normal mode and driving mode (brightness and contrast set to min) i can chande to driving mode by right clicking on the screen (well in my case holding finger on screen) and selecting different modes, but im unable to find a option to use a shortcut key to do this?
anyone have any ideas so i can flip from one mode to another a bit quicker?
or if there is a keyboard out there with a function button so left and right arrow keys (or up/down) work like on a laptop for screen brightness?
