how about ??Lithium Ion batteries have a slightly higher voltage range and generate more heat. My suggestion is to purchase NiMH rechargeables - they are safer in a camera designed for regular AA batteries. You can purchase 4 AA NiMH 2500MAh Energizer batteries and a wall charger for $17-18 at Wal-Mart.

Replace the laptop keyboard. You can usually find one for less than $30 and they are easy to replace. Meantime, use an external keyboard.

The laptop will only draw what it needs. If for some reason the laptop failed with a short it could draw a lot more power and do a lot more damage with the higher current supply. If that bothers you install a 2.5amp fast blow fuse inline with the positive lead....

yeah, its right.so you can do it at first.
The laptop electrical system has circuitry that senses when the power fluctuates, or is outside of the normal range, and then switches power to the battery. Not sure if you have the tools, but any multimeter will have the functionality to test the output of the powerbrick....
