    Baofeng radio's

    been fixing up a few.

here are some notes for others.
    BF-T1 (the tiny one)
pre-2022 had a lithium pack with a flylead and JST 1.25mm connector.
the batteries puff up - maybe a bad batch.
    DONT TRUST THE WIRE COLOURS.
    the 2 i worked on had red = 0v, black = +v
    the battery size is: 703450

    general - belt clips

if you need to replace one, they are not all the same,
the pitch between the screws varies

    uv-5r - 26mm?
    uv-b5 - 28mm?
    uv-b6 - 28mm?
    uv-6r - 28mm
    bf-t1 - 28mm
    bf888s- 28mm?
    uv-82 - 30mm
? = listed by chinese sellers but not personally confirmed.

Someone gave me one of these; little handheld. I remember trying to program it with the keypad, it was infuriating. I cheated and got the IO cable and used 'chirp' software.....but the ins and outs are forgotten, it's beena few years ago.

chirp has come a long way recently.
the keypad programming is not too bad till you want to program offsets between TX & RX.
