I just installed it on my PC with no drama. Only issue was that it downloaded and installed Netframework 1.1 again which was already on this system. This is a windows Xp home PC.

There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

Does not exist for XP x64
          Why do you need it?

If you have a Colcorvision Spyder you can use their software to load ICM profiles, requires an update if you want it to work with multiple monitors in XP x64

              I see
But all monitors are different, you need to buy a calibrator and calibrate it
The Colorvision spyder2express is very cheap, makes a big difference, especially on cheap monitors!

what is it, a sensor you stick on the tube?
if it is, barco monitors used to have them built-in!

                  Re: microsoft color applet

You hang it infront on the monitor and then run their software to have the monitor display test colors, the device then measures these colors and makes adjustments to get everything calibrated...
If you cheat you can even use the Spyder2 Pro software on the cheap express Spyder, this gives you the option to set the RGB values etc in the monitor itself, so the ICM file does not do all the work, but the monitor gets properly calibrated using it's own menu system instead...

yes these very cool. expensive though
i thought i might bring this samsung 226bw home to use. it was ok for general office stuff but for home its just crap i cant use it. i think i will get a big IPS or PVA display instead. i was looking at eizo FX2431

TN monitors used to be generally usable until they started this contrast and saturation race
