What's the chance of the only radial cap in a dsl modem being bad? It's a Nichicon 2200uf 25V, 20MMx18MMw.
There's no evidence of a cap failure, but it's the only thing I can try to repalce in this modem.
If it was a bad brand I would swap it in a heartbeat.
I've got a power led on, ethernet led on and the dsl led does link up with a signal from the telephone central office, but the internet led does not lite up.
Anyone has a thought that replacing the single radial cap could have anything to do with the internet failure?
Currently I'm looking for the same size cap which looks like it's an odd size to replace it with a like cap.
20x18mm, if I can't find the exact match, what would be a comp size and brand since it's so big?
Thanks
