    Partsnic?

Does anyone know Partsnic caps? http://www.partsnic.com
I've bought 33uF/63V@105degC caps for PSU repairs. They're Partsnic RUS series. I wonder if they're good for use or just for trashcan
It looks good according to the company history and the PDF catalog (some automotive parts there).

Did Daewoo spin them off or rename the division due to Daewoo's bankruptcy (near bankruptcy?) a year or two ago?

Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.

No, RUS series are not low-ESR. These should be replacement for the cap-of-death that's present in aux power supply of many ATX PSUs. The original one is usually 22uF/50V@105deg, general purpose and often crap-brand.

If that cap is filtering the rectified O/P of the Standby supply, maybe it should be a low Z type.

most divisions were sold. it is clear that Daewoo Components was separated and i assume sold. perhaps to Chinese or others, i dont know. quality i dont know either but no bad reports seen yet. not low esr so unlikely to see on these boards. change of company name after sold? who knows. perhaps daewoo has bad name for purchasing re debts. maybe they like to build up a brand on their own and only wanted the technology/infrastucture/contracts and did not really need or want the daewoo name.

              Re: Partsnic?

Any reports about them after close to eight years? I have a bag of Partsnic caps here, so far slightly less than half do not have sufficient parameters according to ESR Micro v4.0. So I don't know whether to count the rest as usable or better throw all of them away.
