    Rubycon CE W datasheet

I found this Rubycon CE W caps (manufactured in 1992) in old TV. I guess these are high-quality, similar to good ol' Tesla etc. caps. These are usualy able to serve well for tens of years so I'd like to use them again

But they are probably not being made for some 10+ years, so I have a little problem accessing datasheet...does somebody have it somewhere?

    good luck.
    likely a gp part.
minimum spec i stock is panasonic fc.less parts to track.

Rubycon CE W are 85c, non-polar. It was (and still is) popular for general-purpose audio coupling and DC blocking, but like most non-polar capacitors, it probably has only moderate ripple-current capability.

is non-polar the same as bi-polar in terms of capacitors btw?
just asking because i see a lot of Rubycon NA series bi-polar caps in audio stuff lately..

From a circuit designer's point of view, they're the same - they can be connected either way. I'm not sure about the internal construction, though. For some reason, Rubycon calls them non-polar and the leads of Rubycon non-polars are of differing lengths indicating some asymmetry internally (non-isolated can?), while Elna and some other manufacturers call them bipolar.

As long as bipolar caps don't need to have marked cathode, it is interesting because these caps I took of TV have cathode marked with usuall minus sign.

So I've put my hands on ESR tester and capacitance meter (pretty pervertly equipped electronics club here on colleges, I think I'll sleep there from time to time ). ESR was excelent 0,1 or 0,3 ohm, capacitance was around 86 uF per 100uF cap, pretty good for 18 years old caps, don't you say?

Anyway, the capacitance meter was quite strange since I measured only 150 uF for few months old 330uF Chemi-cons KZG! Never used over two years old Samxon's 100 uF RS had less than 50 % of nominal capacity. Is this normal?

Non-aqueous electrolytics can retain their capacitance for decades, since they dry out slowly (no water in the electrolyte). Aqueous electrolytics dry out sooner, though there are some exceptions (Rubycon ZL, Panasonic FM). KZG is aqueous, and I guess the Samson RS is also aqueous - they're typically rated only for 1000 to 2000 hours.

There are polar CE W caps too - probably similar to Chemi-con SME.

Help finding datasheet for component marked G34662
                      by SoulFreeze
Hi, pulled this component, (I'm assuming it's a MosFET) from an LED COB video light. Im trying to find the datasheet so I can find an equivalent replacement but no luck. Any assistance with the datasheet would be appreciated.

Failing that, a way to pick a suitable replacement component? If it's indeed a switching fet, I'm assuming I might need to measure the switching clock frequency and find a component that meets the power capacity?

Its a pair of them driving a 130w Light. Takes in 19volts. I can borrow a scope to measure the switching freq....

I got a dead HD6950 on Ebay to try my luck and repair it. There were a few broken off capacitors that I already replaced.
Measuring the PCI-E lanes I got somewhat weird measurements, the gpu might or might not be dead.

If I plug the GPU in, the core heats up and I also get VCore but on two inductors that measure 16 and 60 Ohms respectively (Memory and PEX I guess) there is no voltage.
On one of the two buck-controllers (APW7165) the enable pin is pulled to GND and the other controller I just cannot find a datasheet for.

So if anyone has a datasheet or at least...

                      Hi,

I'd like to recap some of my old mainboards (they are from 1998) before switching them on again for the first time after many years in storage. All caps still look good from the outside.
                      There are three mainboards:
                      - ASUS P5A rev 1.04
                      - ASUS P2B-S rev 1.03 "Rubycon"
                      - ASUS P2B-S rev 1.03 "Chemi-Con"

If you are interested in their specs, The Retro Web has pages for the P5A and the P2B-S.

They all have many 1000uF 6.3V 105°C capacitors. But there are some differences I cannot figure out.

A few days ago,I destroyed one of my japanese retro game console by pluging it to 220v outlet.

and I finally fixed this retro game console by soldering varistor and glass fuse.

But I noticed that When I measure voltage of PSU's 5pin connector, it is 8.80-9.07v, 5.13v,3.40-3.48v,GND,GND instead of its rated voltage of 9v 5v 3v GND GND.
                      I have spare console...
