Hey everyone.
I'm trying to shop for some replacement capacitors for the first time. I looked through the sticky FAQ threads but still have some questions.
1.) First, are there certain standard categories of lead spacing? Like 3.5mm, 5mm, etc? I flipped over my motherboard and measured between the leads with a regular ruler. It looked about 3.75mm for me, but when browsing DigiKey I found only 3.5mm or 5.00mm after I entered the capacitance and voltage that I need.
2.) Would the UCC KY and the Nichicon HE be good enough? I want to replace a bunch of 1000uF, 6.3V caps made by GSC. They make up the majority of caps on my mobo (asus A7V8X-LA). The KY and HE are both listed in the "what to buy" sticky but they are not the lowest on ESR.
3.) What is GSC? Is that a crappy company?
Thanks in advance for help
