    Re: several beginner questions

Are you refering to isa slots? -the predecessor of PCI slots?

If so, I can check. I'm sure I have a P3 board with ISA slots if any board will do.

      by ck84
      hi Guys

I connected the station to the PC to see if the software works.

then I read out all the profiles from the controller.

The problem I have now is to assign the individual profiles which profile is for what, I hope someone could help me a little.

or are there finished profiles somewhere?

Beginner questions about unstable voltage in laptop
      by cook
I am diagnosing an HP netbook (model 110-3735DX) that has a 19 volt external power supply/charger like most laptops have. I get 19 volts from the power supply/charger when it is not connected to the computer.

The system board has been completely removed and there is no RAM in it and the battery is not connected.

When I read the voltage at the power supply connector on the system board, I get a reading that changes quickly with these values; .9, 1.3, 3.4, and it basically loops like this. The voltages are usually no less than .9 and nothing usually over 3.5. I do...

      Motherboard diagnostic beginner advice
      by Mess
To save you some time: the most important bits are in bold.
Some further examples/explanations or to the side & in grey - you can probs skip them if it's TLDR for you. Sorry, I've got ADHD & tend to over-explain stuff - just like I'm doing right now 😅 Briefness is for poets not me 🙈

Please help!! 🎶I'm just a girl in a world that wants to scam me out of lots of money for any tech stuff/repairs 🎵 Seriously tho, I'm poor&I can't afford to get laptop diagnosis, especially if it ends up needing a new motherboard. Where I live, all the tech shops are run by very...

Bricked HP Probook 450 G7 Bios questions
      by studdy05
Hp Probook 450 G7 s# SCD0348W35 had a locked BIOS. Bought BIOS and EC chips off Ebay that were supposed to match this machine - the 450 G7. Flashed in the BIOS on chip i bought using a CH341. BIOS unlocked next boot. Some error to contact HP. Entered BIOS and reset to system defaults and rebooted. Machine worked fine but every cold boot the contact HP message popped and everything else worked as fine. Assumed the error was from EC chip not matching BIOS that i just flashed in. So i flashed in the EC that was supposed to match from the EBay chip i bought and instant brick.

      Ive got...

Questions About USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 and USB4 Designs: Type-A vs Type-C, MUX Requirem
      by electronx
      Hi everyone,

I’m currently learning about the USB protocol and designing a project, but I’ve encountered a few questions that I couldn’t find clear answers to. I’d really appreciate your input!

      1. USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 with SuperSpeed Type-A Connector
According to the USB 3.2 specification, it states that USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 can support a SuperSpeed Type-A connector. This raises a question:

If we use a SuperSpeed Type-A connector, the system would only utilize 1 lane for data transfer, leaving 1 lane from the host unused. Is this configuration valid,...
