    Capxon capacitor codes?

    Hi all

I have got a suspect capacitor in my TV Power Supply. The old one is glued to the PCB but I want to order a new one before I pull the old one. The side with the ratings is the side that is glued down!

Does anyone know what spec a Capxon KM P1106 capacitor is?

There is no mention of the codes in the capxon catalogue, only ordering codes.

    Thanks

    general junk,
rubycon YXF is closest but panasonic FR will probably be fine.

1106 is most likely just date of manufacture, week 6 of 2011.
You can get an idea of capacitance by measuring the size of the capacitor.
And voltage you can check with a DMM.

post a foto, maybe there is more than one of them.
        or get the glue off.

what tv is it? maybe we can get the info from other sources.

          Re: Capxon capacitor codes?

Yes, it makes sense that it could be the date code as it is a 2011 TV.
There is only 2 Capxon capacitors left on the power supply board now, all the rest have failed one after the other and have been replaced with Panasonic FR ones. In future projects I will just replace the lot in one go.

The TV is a Logik L24DVDB11 if anyone has a service manual?

            Logik = fake brand.

it's probably Vestel or UMC inside.
got a foto of the psu?

Attached is a picture of a power supply board the same as mine. How can you tell which factory it came from?

Hello it took some work deconstructing the picture you sent solved it by rotating and zooming in to the part number.

Logik is produced by the European electronics company Currys (basically an In house brand)

Found it because your board looked very similar to a board i had in a 23' Apex LED TV (which blew up after recapping)

So i looked around ,i found a site that sells the board brand new, it says that the manufacturer is Logik (its another company doing it for them) the part label number is used by the Element brand which is a private brand of Walmart (owner of UK Asda)

Use the part number on the label ls2204037

                https://spares2repair.co.uk/logik-l2...s2204037-00-gp

The manufacturer of the circuit board printing is (not making the board)

                http://database.ul.com/cgi-bin/XYV/t...637&sequence=1

I agree with STJ use Panny caps or ruby.

(My Apex TV blew up cause the person at the factory silkscreened the caps orientation (on several caps) on both places on the board, after re-capping and plugging it in, the caps blew up)

Yes i love Nichicon MUSE Audio Capacitors...they would look awesome all over any motherboard

Hi people, I hope this is the correct spot to post this, I'm new to the forum.

I have an RTX 3080 Founders Edition which has a burnt up capacitor (it was in parallel with another capacitor which appears damaged too), so I am hoping to be able to identify the capacitor values and order replacements.

I hope these photos make it clear which component I am referring to:
(yes, the soldering is a bit botched from removing the blown one, I know)

I have found the board schematic (attached), but there does not seem to be a boardview available. I have never...

If I replace with inferior capacitor, Is it No harm to other IC components at all?
                  by chth96
I replaced some capacitor which is located on optical pickup pcb which is shown in the table below(PCB #2).Because it have been out of order.
Now,It works very well,But I just have found that all caps (6svpc100my and other part number as well) ,which is shown in the table below, has ultra-high ripple current spec.
It is not able to obtain any capacitor which can be a substitute for this ultra-high ripple current nichicon capacitor.
So I replaced it with samxon and rubycon's general capacitor(GP,YXA series).
I know that these capacitor will not last as long as nichicon capacitor...

Is it no harm to replace with capacitor without ripple current rating?
                  by chth96
When I tried to repair LG 29 inch CRT TV, I found that the ESR value of samyoung SMS capacitor(160v 2.2uf), which is very close to D1879 transistor, is 6 ohm.

Judging from above ESR Meter Table,I think It is necessary to replace this sms capacitor. So I visited local electronics shop, and I purchased 160v 2.2uf rubycon YK capacitor.
But when I browse through rubycon YK datasheet,I found that there is no ripple current rating for 160v 2.2uf specification. But On the contrary, I found 39 mA ripple current rating for 160v 2.2uf SMS capacitor.

                  Should I replace polymer capacitor?
                  by chth96
a few days ago I finally purchased mser-100 v2 and I tested its abillity of measuring ESR value.
I found that It shows pretty accurate ESR value for electrolytic capacitor,But When I measure polymer capacitor of dreamcast game console,I found that one third of polymer capacitor's ESR value is more than twice the value of ESR meter table.(for example, I measured one polymer capacitor of 6.3v 100uf, It showed ESR value of 7.68)
Although my dreamcast now turns 20 years old but it still works. I occasionally have played game with it.
Is this ESR value of polymer capacitor correct?...

                  Hi everyone,

I'm new to this, so I apologize for not providing enough details. Is there anything else I need to mention? I'm trying to learn more about electronic/board repairs and hopefully fix my own.

The only visible issue on my board is one capacitor, CP813, which appears to be labeled R 221k 2kV (possibly obsolete to B 221k 2kV now). My monitor hadn't shown any prior issues, although it is a few years old. Just before the capacitor popped, there was a high-pitched squeal for 2–3 seconds.

I don't see any other visible damage anywhere else on the board....
