    Cannon IP4300

    Hello again folks.
I am messing around with this Cannon printer and cant get it to "go out of sleep mode". Turns out that power supply is actually working well but the problem is inside the printer itself. I noticed that there are a bunch of sensors witch may be the culprit but I have no idea how to test them. I have checked the caps on the logic board and they all seem fine.
Can you help me identify the culprit?
    Thanks.

Here is what I would do

All of electrolyte caps in photo 2 and 3

To test these caps the right way you need a ESR meter this will tell you just how good those caps are now I will also use a cap meter as well to see what UF value is the two reading will tell you a lot-------> but even with this information a lot time I will just replace them any way

How did you test the power supply----> did put a load on it like a light bulb that would pull a load that the power supply can handle

Here is why I say this------> I had a switching power supply that with no load on it ---> it would show the voltage like it should but as soon as you try to put a load on it the voltage would go to very close to zero volts

I would replace all of them and recap the power supply as well

I had a printer problem just like that and I thought is was a software problem but it was not it was a bad caps problem

I am still using this printer to this day

I have already tested the logic board caps (pictures 2-5) and all were very close to their initial value so must be good but still didn't check the mosfets. I see only one mosfet on that board and it's a 8pin on the very right side of the board (picture 4). Will check that tomorrow. Voltages of the power supply are about 10V witch is 1/3 of the actual voltage that should be outputted. Witch means the board is still in "sleep" mode and is not receiving the signal to "wake up".

Please post some photos of the power supply

        Thanks
