    Caps compatible issues

    Hi,

On samsung syncmaster 740n power board, three caps with 820uf 25v are bad. Can I replace them with 1000uf (M) 25v? 820uf 25v not available in the local market. If what I havr is not compatible, then what is the next best compatible caps can i use?

    Thanks

1000 is o.k. IF they fit.
    820 are probably smaller.
dont forget they must be low-esr

      Does the (M) matter?
They are B41827 EPCOS 85 deg Celsius.

no, and if they are 85' then they arent low impedance - which may explain why they need replacing!
i doubt those epcos caps are original!

The replacement 1000uf are 85deg. the original ones which were on the board are CapXon GL 105deg Celsius. C 6 1 8 Vent 820uf 25V

So you put in General purpose cap instead of Low ESR type which is required by the Switching power supply.
