    Identifying a motherboard cap

    Hello everyone!

I'm trying to identify a capacitror that simply fell of my computer's motherboard (and left one of it's legs attched to it).

That's the pic, hope it'll show up..

    (if not there's a link:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZrZ...ew?usp=sharing
    )

I did some searching around of these numbers and understood, yet please currect me if I'm wrong, that it's a 16V 100uF SEPC capacitor, and seen some for sale on ebay.

What I don't understand is what does the number '812' represents, can it be replaced with one having a different number?

Of course my intentions are replacing this one so I'd deeply appreciate any info that may help me do that.

    Thank you so much,
    Chen.

I'm going with 100uf 16v, 812 is most likely a production date or code

Fujitsu U757 - help with identifying what STM32F103 is doing. Can i replace 7th gen motherboard with 8th gen?
          by Mini1
Hey. I have a Fujitsu U757 motherboard with number CP732277. And i want to replace it with U758 motherboard like with CP755900 or whatever U758 series motherboard. U747/U757(7th gen CPU) all motherboards look exactly same so i'm sure it won't matter which one to use. But i would like to upgrade a bit and get U748/U758(8th gen CPU) motherboard. Motherboards all look exactly same layout as U747/U757, but i found one chip is soldered on U747/U757 which U748/U758 doesn't have. It is STM32F103 MCU which is near screen connector. And i'm not sure will U748/U758 motherboard will work with my U757 laptop....

Asus ROG Strix Scar G533qm with a G733qm Motherboard, can I modify the Bios to accept G533 Bios
          by glovecaps
          Hello,

I have a Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 (G533QM) that had a dead motherboard (Graphics card dead) and after trying to fix the motherboard with no success, I bit the bullet on a sale for a new motherboard. I ordered a motherboard for the 15 inch model which is the one that I have, and when the motherboard arrived it wasn't for a little while that I saw it was from the 17 inch model.

My question is, can I update the Bios on this G733 motherboard to a G533 Bios.

The reason for wanting to do this is that the keyboard isn't working as it should, and I think this...

Legion Y540 17irh motherboard issue ( need help to know how to diagnose my motherboard)
          by Docus
          Hi everyone 😀,

I'm here today to ask for help with repairing the motherboard of a Lenovo Legion Y540 17IRH.

To give you some context, I'm passionate about computer repair so much so that I've invested in a lot of tools and started practicing on dead and old hardware. I've been learning how to solder and desolder components, mostly focusing on phone repairs.

Recently, I bought a broken Lenovo Legion Y540 17IRH for just €150, and there are two main reasons why I made this purchase:
          1. I already own the exact same model, but its plastic chassis is badly damaged.

Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 14IRP8 - help identifying what exploded in the motherboard
          by iminusjk
          Hello everyone,
I hope this finds you doing well.

I need some help identifying what and how important is that exploded in my laptop's motherboard.
          Photos attached.

          My laptop is a 1 month old Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 14IRP8 (83BU), i9-13905H, RTX4070, 64 GB ram.
It was in the charger, and I was excited to play FC24 for the first time, but when the loading screen came something exploded in the laptop and it shut down.
It didn't turn on for about 30 seconds after that, but then it turned on and has been working seemingly perfectly (at least I didn't notice...

Embedded Controller issues, living an absolute H*LL with my ASUS Vivobook Pro 16X OLED

I've been dealing with so many complications for months, trying to find and then fix the root cause of the issue I really need help and I have to solve this on my own (Going to Asus headquarters isn't an option for me. First, because I'm very stubborn and want to insist that I can fix this sort-of-myself somehow, and second, the location is too far away for me anyway).

Right now I'm desperate trying to put an end to this nightmare, but OK, I'll do my best to be somewhat brief in explaining and relating the entire situation and context.
