Panasonic pt#, but it's the same thing, you can get them at digi-key

or you can get the Nichicon equivalent at radarinc.com

UPW1A182MPH6, or D6...Can't remeber which one at the moment..one is Pb free that's all..

interesting....those are original on the board? they are the flagship product of rubycon for this application. what brand/model is that board?

like MD Willington suggested you would be fine with Panasonic FC caps or otherwise any of Rubycon MBZ, ZA, ZLG, ZL, ZLH, YXG

i dont think you will find the higher rubycon series easily in small quantities (MCZ, MBZ, ZA) if you do they are much more expensive than the ZL which is easier to find and fine for motherboards.

are you in US so Topcat can sort you out. He has some interesting looking Rubycons, 8mm diameter also, i am not sure what series they are.

I'm a AEET, I work as a firmware engineering tech.

I test embedded firmware and build test rigs etc, modify boards, fix stuff and help the engineers setup hardware, they are software/firmware engineers and some of them need a hand with the hardware side of things.

I've been doing it for 5 years now... I'd finish my degree up but I'm strapped for time with a growing family and several projects.

            You?

nice, do you like your work? do you have potential for moving up or will you be held back without your degree.

I have been supporting a 17 user office for about 6 years now. build all the systems, teach people how to use them but do a whole lot more than support, fill in the gaps assist with management and strategy. doing a big project now upgrading the whole network with a server room and adding adsl. will go in tomorrow to finish cabling and then monday will learn the cisco router and set it up.

kinda want to seek greener pastures though, thinking about either going back to finish my degree or doing cisco/microsoft certificates would rather work for a company with a bigger budget and people to learn from rather than me being the most knowledgeable. there is a choice to ditch support and get into electronics/electrical. computers/peoples data is an unnecessary stress but it is something which i am good. This year i turned 30 so i gotta make choices for the future. have several other offers from people who know me but not in the industries which i know/like. i have a lot of potentials to fall back on but would like to take a big step and see what happens.

I love it...I get paid to break things LOL..

No holding me back, I started as a Tech 1, now I'm a Tech 2..there are quite a few paths to go...I'm hoping to eventually get over to systems integration... a lot more fun.

I just turned 29 last week LOL...

ASUS P5A and P2B-S recapping. Searching old datasheets.

                  Hi,

I'd like to recap some of my old mainboards (they are from 1998) before switching them on again for the first time after many years in storage. All caps still look good from the outside.
                  There are three mainboards:
                  - ASUS P5A rev 1.04
                  - ASUS P2B-S rev 1.03 "Rubycon"
                  - ASUS P2B-S rev 1.03 "Chemi-Con"

If you are interested in their specs, The Retro Web has pages for the P5A and the P2B-S.

They all have many 1000uF 6.3V 105°C capacitors. But there are some differences I cannot figure out.

Xbox 360 Xenon Modern Capacitor Replacements
                  by burom
I found my old Xbox 360 in storage and opened it up to see if there was anything that broke since it was built in 2006 (launch era Xenon revision, never red ringed, never been serviced) and didn't want to find out by releasing magic smoke. Upon moving the dust bunnies out of the way I was greeted by a bunch of capacitors with crud coming out of the top; it doesn't seem to have leaked onto the board so at least I have that going for me.

I'm posting here because I want to try to source replacement caps myself from Mouser or Digikey instead of braving eBay or waiting for places to have...

After updating motherboard capacitors, what to do next (Asrock K7VT2, SOLTEK SL-75FRN2L)
                  by dragon3x
Hi, I have some 32 bits computer motherboards that need repair, as they fail to
                  power on.

                  Here are some examples :

(N.B. "capacitors" indicated here are electrolytic capacitors located in the onboard
                  switching supply area).
                  (N.B. #2 : I could not find a 3300 microF aluminum-polymer with a higher voltage
                  than 6.3 V.)

1 - Motherboard #1 : this is an Asrock K7VT2 (socket A) that still works well. To put it on test
                  I replaced capacitors with aluminum-polymer.
                  3300 microF/6.3 V. x 4 replaced by 3300 microF/6.3 V. (KYOCERA...

AA and AAA battery charger capacitors?
                  by slybunda
hey all, iv got my favourite battery charger here which iv had for many years probably 15 years now or maybe even more. it still works good but thought id open it up to clean the dust out of it, lots of dust inside but now its clean and noticed 4 capacitors inside it and wondered if i should replace them.
                  it has inside:
                  2 x 47uf 16v caps 105c branded as Su'scon (lol sounds sus to me)
                  2 x 470uf 16v LZ105c branded as G.Luxon

not heard of these brands are they any good?

iv attached photos of the charger and the board inside for an idea on the type of...

Panasonic switching power supply daughter board has two 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors which I do not keep in stock
                  by sam_sam_sam
I did not have any 27uf @ 50 volt capacitors but one nice thing is that it has enough room for two capacitors in parallel a 22uf and a 4.7uf @ 50 volts 22 plus 4.7 equals 26.7uf which so very close to 27uf I will show some pictures of it sometime tomorrow

This is one of the shit est boards I seen in a very long time and it was the daughter board the traces just lifting off the board I had to use the capacitor leads to repair the the traces and the main board is not any better because I had to repair several traces for the daughter board to the main board

                  After all of...
