Hundreds of service manuals and schematics. Generally, most Dell laptops do support external video card when docked. Other brands rarely do, only in business class laptops.

    Yes.

Hardware modification of the power supply feedback circuit. It's simple actually, 1 single resistor needs to be changed. Finding it is the challenging part.

Would you have some good tutorial link for DIYers.
Should do for a one-off. You'll also need some sort of support to keep the hot air gun in place. And don't forget the thermocouple.

Preheat to 150C, take it to 217 in 30-40 seconds. Hold that temperature for 30 seconds. Take it to 235, 240 max. It should not be over 220C for more than 15-20 seconds or you risk permanently damaging the chip. In your case, the thermocouple should be on top of the BGA die or right next to it.

Would a reflow work for such a problem ?
Unless you run it too hot and fry it, it will work 100%. But it is always a temporary fix. Like i said, if you also undervolt it, it may last more than 6 months.

      Hi back.

Would you give me some advice to choose/buy flux and other stuff I would need.

It seems there are different quality flux and solder wick. What would you advice from Ebay for instance. (by the time, Ebay is my main electronic supplier because is cheap from China !)

        Thinkpad X1 Carbon "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021" VCC3M problem
        by Zeonalbasta
        i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...

        Lenovo T580 - LCD Panel problem - error 0288
        by perzyk23
        Good morning,
I have a problem with Lenovo T580, which after error code 0288 suggests a problem with the display. I checked the display and it works on another laptop. I replaced the display cable with a new one. I programmed another BIOS (downloaded from this forum) and I still have the problem of a dead display - there is an image via HDMI, and the system does not detect the built-in LCD at all. The problem appears to be hardware. What can I check to confirm or disprove this? I found many threads on the Internet related to this problem 0288, but without specific solutions. Please advise....

        Dell 15R-5521 keyboard problem (KBC?)
        by SDNarcia
Hello, I have a Dell 15R-5521, with the problem that the Ctrl, Alt, Shitf and Num Lock keys do not work, I tested the keyboard with a keyboard tester and it is functional, I also got another new keyboard and the computer has the same problem with the same keys. Check continuity between the ZIF connector from the keyboard to the KBC and all pins are correct. I cleaned the ZIF connector and the KBC and I still have the same problem. I reinstalled windows just in case, and it didn't work. I updated the BIOS to the latest version A16 and there were no changes.

        As additional information,...
