    Ceramic Capacitor

Does ceramic capacitors has any polarity? Why other caps have polarity?

    Can i replace a 472 1kv ceramic cap with a 472 2kv ceramic cap in a ATX PSU?

    No, they don't have a polarity. Yes you can replace a 472 1kV with a 472 2kV.

Polarity has to do with the chemistry of caps that are polarized. One caveat on that replcement. If the part is on the input side of the power supply and one lead of the part connects to chassis, that requires a special safety agency approved part. It's called a Y capacitor, and it is rated for AC voltage.

Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.
