    supacon!!!

These are new to me. Caps are colored like Rubycons, and have the same stylised writing... A very ironic and fitting name

After having actually done a search, I see that they're common on the Gigabyte board I have in my posession .

I wonder if the name is inspired by gangsta rap: " Supa Con!" Isaac Hayes could intone that perfectly!

            by PNI E.
Good morning guys, I have this tv that have horizontal colored lines ( green, blue, black). I tried to disconnect the two ribbon cable on the t con, first the left side and then the right side. But the lines still are there…so I tried the tape method but didn’t work. Can someone help me to try to fix this tv. I give you the photo of the panel, and the panel with the left ribbon unplugged and then the right. Thanks for your help...

            Vizio M58Q7 colored horizontal lines
            by rapid911
Hi guys, I have a Vizio M58Q7-J01 and now there are some colored horizontal lines on the screen. Could someone tell me if it's probably a panel issue or something related to other parts and can be fixed? Thank you in advance....

Samsung UN55KS8500 - previously power-cycling, now vertical colored bars
            by morinb
Edit: this is for a UN55KS8500FXZA

            Hi all,

I came across this thread last week where another user had a fix for my original problem of a power-cycling TV. I identified and removed some burnt-out resistors, after which the TV no longer power cycles, but now displays vertical colored lines down parts of the screen. There's also a green-colored "cloud" near the bottom-right when using the replacement mainboard.

I see these lines whether I'm using my original mainboard or the refurb I got from an online parts store, just in differing amounts/screen-space....

Colored Vertical lines on Samsung UN55C6400RF TV
            by Maverick1234
            Hi,
I have a Samsung 55inch TV (UN55C6400RF). It has started showing colored vertical lines. I have opened the TV and the power board had one pin (out1-) which is discolored (Model # bn44-00358b). Can this be bad or is it the T-Con board (Model # D03464E0J09B6012066). Any recommendations on diagnosing the issue?

            Thanks,
            Sanjay

Advice for replacements for some Rubycons in a Dell Precision 670
            by qwerki
Hello, I was hoping some of you kind souls could give me some advice.

I have a couple of old motherboards I'd like to have a go at repairing. They come from Dell Precision 670s, and the caps have gone bad.

Ultimately, I intend on getting rid of them, but it's a fun project to practise my (de)soldering on, so I want to see if I can resurrect them, even if only temporarily. I'd also like to check if there's anything on the onboard RAID array I missed backing up (I don't think there is, but you never know).

It's the VRM caps that visibly leaked, so I removed...
