I came across [URL="https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?p=975782#post975782"]this thread[/URL] last week where another user had a fix for my original problem of a power-cycling TV. I identified and removed some burnt-out resistors, after which the TV no longer power cycles, but now displays vertical colored lines down parts of the screen. There's also a green-colored "cloud" near the bottom-right when using the replacement mainboard.

I see these lines whether I'm using my original mainboard...

Thanks so much for posting this. I have a UN55KS8500FXZA that's having the same problem you had. I replaced the mainboard and the power board with no luck. After reading your post, I looked at the boards that run along the bottom of the screen (driver boards?) and I found burnt resistors on the far-right board and on the far-left board ([URL="https://imgur.com/a/FxbQQzf"]link to pictures[/URL]).
