      Re: spec sheet needed

      hi willawake!

      thanks for responding.
there is no temp rating on the capacitor.
i am using these in a wind generator, between the gen and heating elements that are powered.

it is the ripple current rating that i need to know.

      thanks,

        Re: spec sheet needed

I tried to find info on this, without luck. FWIW, Mepco/Electra was bought some 15 years ago by Philips. I would suggest not using this part, as it is more than 24 years old - 8237 = 37th week of 1982. I would suggest finding a 1000uF or 1500uF, 200V part from United Chemicon, Nichicon, Panasonic, or Cornell Dubilier in a similar case style. Technology has advanced sufficiently in the past 20+ years that you will probably end up getting a better part.

Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.

Is it no harm to replace with capacitor without ripple current rating?
          by chth96
When I tried to repair LG 29 inch CRT TV, I found that the ESR value of samyoung SMS capacitor(160v 2.2uf), which is very close to D1879 transistor, is 6 ohm.

Judging from above ESR Meter Table,I think It is necessary to replace this sms capacitor. So I visited local electronics shop, and I purchased 160v 2.2uf rubycon YK capacitor.
But when I browse through rubycon YK datasheet,I found that there is no ripple current rating for 160v 2.2uf specification. But On the contrary, I found 39 mA ripple current rating for 160v 2.2uf SMS capacitor.
          Rubycon YK DataSheet (b...

          by Digighost
Hello Everyone Please bear with me as I'm not very experienced in electronics and board repair but I think with a little help from you experienced guys I can get this done. I do have a tech background and I believe I have all the needed equipment to complete the task at hand.

A week ago my MSI GS76 STEALTH 11UG (board MS-17M11) No easy way to say this I think I may have killed my baby. What had happened was My ALFA External Wifi was not being recognized because it needed more power than my machine could output. After researching the issue I found out that using a powered USB hub...

LG 55LN5710 backlight diffuser sheet order
          by Lee M.
Hello all, new member here. I replaced the LED strips and found that the BL can be turned on with the TCON board and LCD panel disconnected. So new LED strips are working fine. Now the problem. There are 3 diffuser sheets on this set. One sheet is thicker than the others and I know it goes in first next to the LED strips. But one side of this sheet has a rougher texture than the other side. Does the rough side go up or down? The 2 thinner sheets have tabs that will only allow them to be installed one way so that's good. One sheet is what I would call plain translucent. The other sheet is whiter...
