I have a vp6, I wanted to replace capacitors that have 1000UF and 1500UF raings. My question, what is the point of installing capacitors with higher UF values?

There are no big gains. I would stay with the original values. For some pointers should you decide to change, take a look at this thread....

Capacitor detached from PCB – RTX 2070 Super Founders Edition
Description:
During maintenance on an RTX 2070 SUPER Founders Edition, I found a capacitor lying on my desk after reassembly.
I did not notice it detaching, so I am unsure of its original location on the PCB.
Procedure performed:
- Removed backplate
- Cleaned heatsink and PCB with isopropyl alcohol + soft ESD brush
- Reapplied thermal compound
- Reassembled card
Observed behavior after reassembly:

I am looking for capacitor & Inductor values for my TOSHIBA Qosmio X500-110 - mobile graphics - Nvidia GTS 250M Laptop.
Values for :-

PC43 : Capacitor [3x1.5mm]
PL7 : Inductor [2x1mm]
PC39 : Capacitor [1x0.5mm]
Any ideas would be appreciated.
I can get Capacitor values from nearby components but wanted to know the max ratings also I dont have equipment to measure inductors.... -

I have acquired a used Dick Smith Q-1760 power supply - although the OEM is Manson Industrial
It has at least one problem.
The voltage control potentiometer VR2, 50K is faulty - going high resistance / open circuit in the CCW end and leading to the output voltage jumping around.
I have already ordered a replacement potentiometer, so that's not an issue.
Now, I want to replace all three electrolytics on the PCB as they are CapXon and I don't trust them so much, I will replace them with something better while I've got the thing apart anyway.

I am trying to determine the value of a blown capacitor, and the boadview shows the values for many of the capacitors and other components on this board, but all of the information blank on others.
Is there any relevance to the fact that some of these values are left out, or is it just inconsistency by whoever created the boardviews?
Is there any way to deteremine if one without infrormation matches one that shows those details?
