That's just glue. It's used during assembly so things don't fall off. You don't actually need it.
Incidentally, some kinds of glue can turn conductive over time and cause problems. So that's another good reason to stay away from it! (and also why some things fail)"Tantalum for the brave, Solid Aluminium for the wise, Wet Electrolytic for the adventurous"

Hi, my Vizio M60-C3 does not power on. No lights whatsoever. Upon opening up the TV, the power supply board has 4 bulging capacitors. Each is 1000uF 16V. I have read that one can use capacitors of the same uF and higher voltage rating, but is 1000uF 35V capacitor too high of a voltage rating? My local shop only has these higher voltage capacitors so would rather just buy the 35V variety if it is OK to use them.
Any thoughts if OK to use these higher voltage capacitors? -

- Jamicon TK 1uf 50V Ripple: 12
- Jamicon TK 4.7uf 50V Ripple: 36

I have Evga G2 1300w and I want to replace all the electrolytic capacitors because PSU is already 12+ years old and I want to give it more life before any capacitor does damage. There are no blown capacitors, but I want to protect myself by replacing them with new ones as a precaution. And now comes the main problem. I have 5 pieces of Bulk (I think they are KZE) 16v3300uf with dimensions 10/35/5, but I can't find them in that size, only 12.5/35/5.I have one KY 16v1000uf 8.5/19/3.5, one KY 16v220uf I think it is 6/13/3.5 but it is in holes of pitch 5 I have 4 pieces of KZE 16v2200uf with dimensions... -
hey Im very new to repairing electronics with capacitors as well as using a multimeter so I need so help/guidance fixing this issue
recently I was handed a family members old NAD C320BEE that they had in their loft for storage for a few years but when powered on it went into power safety mode due to a problem on the protection circuit somewhere before it went into storage I was told it worked fine I found lots of people online talking about how the capasitors are known to be pretty bad in this model and can cause this issue the only problem being I don't have much experience sorting... -
