what capacitors to get for Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT

two of the caps on the right of my nvidia geforce 8800 gt have leaked (blown up)
im not sure what caps those are cuz im dumb as hell
if you do know what ones they are can you tell me where to get them

The failure of that brand of caps is commonplace. Search this forum for "Sacon FZ".

Oh boy...
Those are Sacon FZ. Worst capacitors ever made. I was replacing three of them about a week ago on a 7300GT. I used cheapo Elite caps to replace them because I couldn't find better replacements but other forum members can suggest good quality replacements for you if you can order them. And btw you should replace all Sacons you can find on the card even the good ones. Those are 1000uf 16v caps with ripple of 1800mA at 100Khz and impendance. Any good quality cap with same specs and same or higher ripple and same or lower impendance should do. Here is the datasheet for the sacons:

I too have a blown capacitor on my GeForce 8800 GT card (a Point Of View one if that makes a difference) from looking about here it seems to be one of the Sacon FZ ones that have been previously mentioned, but the only identifiers on it I can see are printed on the top

Would I be correct in assuming this is a 1000uf 16v cap and as such should be replaced like for like? Unfortunately I'm more used to dealing with the software end of PC breakage, so this is my first time actually applying solder to joint in the name of fixing a machine, and I don't want to inadvertantly knacker it.

Start a new thread and post some closeups of the blown caps. They might not be sacons, I have never seen any sacons labeled JL. Most of them are labeled with FZ or just F and yes those would be 1000uf 16v caps. BTW does the cap have a vent on top? Might be a solid cap...

ArcadeVGA gfx card (ATI X550 256M DDR) after 8 years. In reality this card have used less than a year sporadically.

The pictures are too small, what is the value on those replacement caps? If you don't plan on it lasting forever, they will most likely work

Hi Pentium4.
Sorry for the small pictures, and also for useless posts in my effort to fix those.
The replacement caps will be the Panasonic FM series.
The pdf in my previous post is from the stock (on gfx card) caps.
