            might be fakes...

the only caps i found (on ebay germany) with a series starting with G is GXF. They're not on the rubycon site either though.. strange..

Thanks guy's i think i am just going to tell him to swap them out for some caps that i know are on our good caps list .

I think they are fake and he is not the first person that i know to have bought a kit from this company and had problems .
I noticed they dont sell the small start up caps in the kits and then when people question them that their monitor still does not work they ignore them .

I try telling people but part of the problem is some people just wont wait for them to come and wont listen to what they are told

I've got a Toei arcade CRT chassis and printed on the PCB is CM-R14 but it might be a CM-R20 and so far needs two caps replaced, I've looked on the Nippon Chemi-Con site and got their 2020 catalogue I cant find any info about the first cap in the catalogue or on their obsolete catalogue, on the cap is:

(Radial electrolytic cap) Nippon Chemi-Con 1uF 160v 85c 8mm diameter, roughly 15mm long (cap is bulging at the legs) with 6mm PCB hole spacing, the chassis service manual says this cap C58 is a CE04W with "04" in a smaller font than the capital "CEW" so it must be...

Infamous Rubycon MFZ... Current recommended replacements???
                    by bjs59
What we have here today is an Intel DG33FB motherboard, circa 2007... I need to replace some of the caps on this board... From what I have found, one of these caps was sort of well known here back in the day as they were used in XBoxes and XBox 360s as well....They are the Rubycon MFZ series, in particular the 6.3 v 3300uf 10mm X 20mm... I have found a seller on Amazon, The Capacitor Store, that has them listed but I have a hard time believing these are genuine pieces... The original recommendation was to replace any bad ones with Nichicon HZ series since the Rubycon MFZ's were a custom product,...

Board View files - pay sites
                    by dicky96
                    Hi guys
I trust this topic is OK for discussion here

When I am googling for board view files I find a lot are on various pay sites. In particular I find a lot of links to an Indonesia forum but it seems I have to pay (VIP member) to down load them: For example I am currently looking for a boardview for Asrock Z87 Exteme4

I know a lot of folks here kindly share boardview files and schematics for free -and I doubt the sites charging money actually have any sort of intellectual property rights to sell them

Having said that I am not adverse to paying...

Failed UCC and Rubycon replacement on a Dell XPS410, equivalent?
                    by DXseekerMO
Hello, I'm working on an old Dell XPS410 with burst capacitors. I'm trying to source either an equivalent replacement, or a replacement that will work. It's been suggested to me to use Poly caps as a replacement, but I have no idea what to order or what will work.

If anyone has a link to where I can buy what I need that would be even better.

These are the caps that have burst:

                    Board location: C8BV, C26BV, C43BV
                    Brand: United Chemi Con
                    Series: KZG
                    Size: 10mm dia X 25mm height
                    Impedance: (ohms max/20c, 100kHz) .012
                    Ripple: 2800...

Replacement of Chemi-Con KZG with Rubycon ZLJ
                    by blub0815
                    Hi,
is the replacement possible? There is a difference of factor 2 between the ESR/Impedance.
The caps are located on a motherboard.
