    ordering some caps..

I placed an order at mouser.com and the tech guy said these will do fine.

    Will this do fine?

    Re: ordering some caps..

A sales team does not necessarily give good advice. The capacitors you ordered are not low ESR. No such spec there.

They are only rated up to 10khz (should be 100Khz). Sorry not right for motherboard replacement low ESR requirements.

See my post for Panasonic the FM series has very low ESR, high ripple ratings, long life and a good price. What more could one ask for?

Alternately do a change order on Mouser for 647-UHE1A102MPD same can size right spec.

      647-UHE0J102MPD for 6.3v, above is 10v. $.18 a piece if ordering more than 10, $.23 a piece for 1-9.

        Re: ordering some caps..

Yes that is correct. If INDAPIT needs to do a change order quickly he needs a stock item. The 10V is in stock the 6.3V is not. Both are 8 mm diameter and the 10V rating will do no harm and into the bargain has a lower ESR and higher ripple current rating.

        The choice is for INDAPIT.

Thanks for being right on the money.

Unfortunately, I placed the order already and didn't see this forum after the fact. So, if the 10v won't hurt then I'll order that one.
          Thanks for the help.

OK, doing more research. At DIGI-KEY, they have the United Chemi-ConKY and LZX series.
The specs again for what I'm looking for is 1000uf 6.3v 8x15mm.
These show Low Impediance. The Panasonic are bigger 10x12.5mm. Or shall I stick to the 647-UHE1A102MPD Davmax recommended earlier.

At Digikey, neither Panasonic FC nor FM is available in 1000μF, 6.3V, 8mm. However, in their catalog:

              Panasonic FC: 1000μF, 10V, 8x20mm, P10224-ND, 1-9@0.53, 10-99@0.33, about 43k in stock

              Panasonic FM: 1000μF, 10V, 8x20mm, P12354-ND, 1-9@0.50, 10-99@0.365, none in stock

                Re: ordering some caps..

There are plenty of choices. My further research revealed that Digikey has plenty of the Nichicon 1000u 6.3V 8x15 part 493-1467-ND

                http://dkc3.digikey.com/PDF/T053/0972-1006.pdf

These have essentially the same spec as the KY series of United Chemi-con. Both are highly suitable. Just a choice of brand, price and availability.

                So over to you.

Apologies. The Digikey (Nichicon) link in the last post was not good.

                    Re: ordering some caps..

Just checked mouser.com, availability for UHE0J102MPD says on order, but when you click to view, says 2500 can ship immediately. I just ordered some a couple weeks ago and thought it said they have plenty.

Yes Spacedye69 they do seem to be in stock at Mouser. Also at Digikey. What a choice.

Hope you get yours soon and have success.
