    Vizio power supply

    I need help with my vizio p42hdtv10a I replaced the power supply because of two swollen capacitors but the screen stayed black like it whent when it poped then nothing on screen but green light for power I have looked at the z sus and Y sus boards and I can't see any blown of burnt fuse and the control board has only 3 lights on I am missing the fourth D 15 it's out any hlep would be great.

    Can you take pictures of all the boards you have or want to examine?

    I just acquired a P42HDTV10A two hours ago. The image was bad but sustainable - it look rather washed out.

    I'd love to know the brand and specs of the two capacitors that went bad.

      The black screen no sound is a common problem with the Vizio 42" plasmas. It is most likely the IPM on the Y-sus. The fuse will not look burnt so if you did not measure it with a DMM then how do you know if it is bad? As for the Vizio with the the bad picture the problem sounds like a bad waveform coming off of the Y-sus. It can be adjusted but you will need the LG training manual and an oscilloscope.
