Seeking LCD Schematic for MacBook Pro M1 A2485 - Aiming to Repair, Not Replace

    Hello everyone,

I'm currently working on a MacBook Pro A2485 and have encountered an issue with the LCD. Instead of opting for a full replacement, I'm interested in performing an in-depth repair on the LCD itself. I'm hoping to find the schematic for the LCD in order to understand its architecture and troubleshoot more effectively.

If anyone has access to the schematic or can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it. My goal is to repair the components and connections within the display, rather than going for a costly replacement. I've been in the notebook repair business for 20 years, but MacBook LCDs are new territory for me, and I'm eager to learn.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Attached boardview and schematic. Not sure if they cover LCD but worth looking through (search doesn't work well within the PDF)
    Attached Files
User submitted datasheet, schematic, boardview, service manual, firmware, bios, & software.

      Hello. Thank you very much.

But unfortunately the TCON and all the electronics of the LCD are on the LCD itself, and I couldn't find anything on the board's schematic.
I wouldn't like to have to change the entire LCD because of a resistor or even due to a TCON failure.
If it's possible to just change this electronic to solve the black screen problem, I'd like to know what to do.

      Thanks

Can you source/ buy a broken lcd assembly with working backlight and broken lcd? That would be your best option.

Or you can post a picture of the tcon board with the diode measurements? If I can make time I can do that for you but no promises. :/

Did you ever find a way to tear it down or did you just replace the screen outright?
