by TechGeekSo here we go. The system featured here is a Power Macintosh 7200/120 computer with a PowerPC 601 CPU and 24MB of RAM. It was built sometime in 1996 and appears to have been in use between 1997 and 2007, with most activity ceasing by 2005.
The system was also ordered with the PC Compatible option, which, in this case, is a 12" long PCI card with an entire PC compatible system on it. It has a 100MHz Pentium (i586) CPU, 8MB or 16MB of onboard RAM, an ATi Mach/64 video card, and a Sound Blaster Vibra16 sound subsystem.
It was checked into a computer repair shop (presumably...-

Now from what I gathered the actual series name for these is TWSS, since I've not seen the spec sheet on this forum I've attached it for posterity sake, even though it's probably not hugely interesting. Amusingly there's still a ton of Aliexpress listings floating around for Rubyon CE W/TWSS, some...-

I have a Carvin AG100 Acoustic Guitar amp bought new 1997 ish. so yeah around 22 yrs old now. It's been a great Amp but best I can tell so far is the Power Transistor blew and I have a new replacement. I am considering replacing all the Caps just on the Power Board for now. The Caps are testing good except one is half it's rated value, so that one for sure. No leakers, all look good.
But here's question #1 for now. I have one Cap that does NOT match what is on the schematic, Should I replace it with what is actually there or follow the Schematic? It's been...-

by RainbowGot this PSU for repair - it stopped working:
Oh, one of the big caps is bulged and leaked - note the electrolyte on the heatsink:
Overall look - only good caps:
Both big caps removed - and dried electrolyte on the PCB:
Two resistors connected in paralle with the caps - they're different! According to the colors, one is 51K and the other one 61K. The 61K one was connected in parallel with the blown cap and both resistor and the cap were open - thus the PSU didn't work at all. Why the resistors weren't the same? A mistake... - Loading...
