Hi everybody. I have a Getac S410 G1 with a screen brightness witch cannot be adjusted. It is at full brightness when the charger is plugged in (19V on the LCD connector) and at minimum under battery (12V on the LCD connector). Does anyone know where the problem is coming from ? Thank you.

Hello, first of all - thank you in advance for help.
I got an Getac S410 G4 notebook with Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz. Everything works fine, but we need to have another Wifi NIC because of VW/Audi Cars diagnostic software.
So we added this one Realtek RTL8822CE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E Network Adapter to a free slot PCI-E 3.0 x1 port.
NIC is installed correctly, basically it works, but we dont know how to enable the Wifi on it. It seems like it is still in Airplane mode - we are unable to turn of Wifi on this card. BUT - this card will turn on Wifi itself, after some time,...

With my new CH341A V1.7 programmer, I was able to get a valid dump of the Macronix MX25L12873F. The clip works fine for dumping in-circuit.

Please help me remove the BIOS password from this file.

Is it possible to dump the GETAC S410 G2 BIOS in-circuit, or do I need to desolder the chip?

I have now done 3 in-circuit dumps and compared them. Each time, there are significant differences.

I want to be sure I have a valid dump of the chip before flashing the unlocked binary.

Maybe my CH341A is defective.

I have found two SPI flash chips next to the memory slots. One is a Winbond chip, which seems to be an 8MB flash. I can't read from this chip, it seems to be protected.

The other is a Macronix MX25L12873F 16MB flash. I have successfully dumped this flash and hope this is the right one.
