I need ThinkPad Config Information Update Utility v1.02(or later) or Lenovo Maintenance Utility V2.02(or later).
These software can write MEC1633 eeprom.
X240,X250,T440,T450,etc... serial number can fix.

I have serial invalid X1 Carbon 5th.

Hi guys, i have a Thinkpad x250 with locked bios asking supervisor password and no boot without inserting it.

I first dump the bios using CH341A + SOIC8 clip + CH341A Programmer v1.18, and than i used lenovo autopatcher v02 from the firts post to try to patch it.

But autopatcher give me the error " <file-name> is corrupted or does not contain a valid dump".

So i tried to take another x250 (that i bougth as replacements parts and NOT boot), dump bios, patch it,...

Is it possible to patch BIOS on Lenovo Thinkpad P53s and P15s?
I have Sofi SP8-B programmer with SOIC SOP8 Test clip cable and SOP WSON SOIC VSOP SPI Flash 8p 1.27mm Probe.
I used these to patch BIOS on most Lenovo laptops like: x240, x250, x260, t440, t450, t460, t470, L13, 13 2nd gen, L380, L390, P50, P51s, P52s

Unfortunately I am not sure if ca can Patch BIOS on P15s, and P53s the same way.

This is the list I use, seems like it contains most of the models compatible with the DXE driver patch solution, if it's not in the list, most likely the DXE driver patch won't work, specially if BIOS is 32MB:

This is how I did it after I suspected TPM to be refusing to boot the laptop (screen didn't lit up at all with 5+5 short beeps, CPU fan spins and auto shutdown):

1. Reflash to original BIOS from backup, of course in locked state. Validate the flash content if you can.
2. Reattach everything.
3. Boot into Windows(either from live USB image or transplant bootable drive from another system) and clear the TPM by using [U]clear-tpm -useppi[/U] command from powershell. (Physical presence...

Got my ThinkPad X250 supervisor password cleaned, thanks for the app!

I thought my X250 was bricked when I heard 5 beeps at power up(motherboard failure) after flashing the patched BIOS. But it turned out the beep code was 5 short beep [pause] 5 short beep. Which indicates TPM is refusing to power up the laptop, probably due to tampered BIOS.

I redone the patch from Ubuntu and the checksum result is identical to the one generated from Windows so a falsely patched BIOS is ruled out. I almost...
