before I spend money on a T48 programmer I would like to get a confirmation from people who worked on this exact model.

Laptop: HP ProBook 650 G5
Mainboard: COCONUT-6050A3028501-MB-A01(A1)
CPU: Intel core i5-8265U

What I have found on the board:

Chip 1: Winbond 25Q128JVPQ @ WSON8 6×5 mm -> this should be the main BIOS right?
Chip 2: winbond 25Q256JVEQ @ WSON8 8×6 mm -> this should be the main EC right?

What I already tried (without success):

CH341A (black version with 3.3 V) + 6×5 mm...

Supports $VSS/BiosUser, UserCred and NvramActiveRegn style BIOS. I have tried to be a slight bit more intelligent about handling UserCred, but i am just as crude with NvramActiveRegn as the other tools out there.

So far, it was verified with images for: Elitebooks 4520s, 8440p, 8460p, 8470p, 840-g1, 840-g2, 840-g3, 840-g4, 840-g5, Probook 650-g3 and 650-g4. I needed this myself for both an 840-g2 and 650-g3.

Please provide patches or bug reports on github, i will happily read about success stories...

Hello,
I am trying to remove bios password for HP ProBook 650 G8.
I've looked at one video on youtube and i replaced nvramactiveregn with FF saved the file write it back and it didn't work as the password was still there
Then i found out multiple 2 more nvram so i replaced the second one with FF. wrote it back and now the laptop doesn;t turn on. tried to put the original backup file.. still doesn;t work.
Tried to use the rcunlocker but its asking for 16mb but mine is 32 which one user said you have to split it 2 use the rcunlocker and combine it back but i don;t know to...

pls anyone to help me with HP Probook 650 G2 CIRCUS 65A2723701 MB A01 schematic or boardview..... I try so hard to find it online but I did not...

Just a thread to post clean VSS2 files/dumps in.A clean VSS2 file can, in some cases, fix
the infamous **"Endpoint Security" error message.
Be aware that if you use a clean VSS2 you may need to fill in missing DMI info using HP BCU !

I`ve included some clean files/dumps,offsets and a few scripts to autopatch a few models.
The offsets and file sizes are part of the naming convention i`ve used for the extracted
files.

hoaca388 has made an excellent guide how to extract the VSS2 file and edit/clean it up by
filling everything after...

While desoldering the EC ROM chip, I damaged it and can't read it. Is it possible to upload new firmware to a new chip? Right now I have a laptop that won't turn on, and I'm wondering if it's possible to replace the firmware.
