Hi has anyone got a bios for my hp elitedesk 800 g4 sff, I got it free from work but bios locked. Any help would be appreciated thanks

If the recovery USB hasn`t worked you will have to use an SPI programmer to make a full backup of the bios chip. There is no point unpacking the exe as once it is edited to the right size it is not a full bios image, only a bios region , and you can`t use that file to recover from USBIf the recovery...

Hi,

I have 2 Elitedesk 800 G4 which have stopped working after a BIOS Update. It was doing the updates and instead of rebooting automatically it just stayed off and I was left with an orange LED being on behind the mainboard and no reaction at all when I hit the power button, it seems to be completely dead.
Removing the battery, pressing and holding the yellow button on the MB didn't do anything either.
Others have updated fine without any such issues.

When googling I've found other people having the same issue with the orange LED being on and the PC also...

Hello, sorry for the long post, I just wanted to include any details that might help.

A bit of backstory - I currently have 5 of these MiniPCs - I got them for very cheap from Ebay. All of these PCs are BIOS administrator password locked without their drives.
I also got a G3 large tower, that I could reset the password of fine just using a header and a button on the motherboard.
