I’m J_Pierce, joining you from South Africa. Although I’m not yet an expert in computers, I have an eagerness to learn something new every day. I’m currently diving into the world of tech with my trusty old HP EliteBook 2570p.

Here are some of its specs that I’m excited to explore: it features an Intel Core i7-3520 CPU running at 2.90 GHz, coupled with 16 GB of 3200 MHz RAM (2 x 8GB sticks), and uses Intel HD 4000 graphics. For storage, I’ve upgraded to a 1 TB SSD along with a 500 GB SSD, giving me ample space for my experiments.

Help.I have EliteBook 2570p.
On HP product serial finder, this notebook's warranty started 2013, ended 2014.
On power on, I can read *Manufacture Program Mode set 4 of 10*
The error I am getting is *Product Information not Valid*
I can boot to Ubuntu / Mojave (dual booting linux and hackintosh)


I only have Ubuntu 22 and MacOS Mojave as dual boot on this notebook. I did not install Windows but I can find an extra hard drive to install Windows if needed.

I just want to know what tool I need...

HP elitebook 2570P, its got-off whenever i replace on any surface, table etc perhaps due to its battery alignment or something else),even i have applied double tape and it seems to be very tight but same phenomena, on the other hand, the laptop just remains ok when on Charger.

(Also battery health is normal and even gives good backup+no physical damage/loosing seems to be regarding its pins)

any guidance please.

Cold solder joint on the battery connector pins to the mainboard maybe?
A reflow / apply new solder may help.
