Need Foto backside MSI ms-7e12 Ver:1.1

    Hello dear forum participants.

I have received a motherboard from a friend with the following problem, which I would like to solve.
It is a MSI ms-7e12 mag tomahawk wifi VER: 1.1.
On the back upper right corner near the exit panel a small chip has been hit (bent and some pads torn off)
and I suspect a 3 pin sot-23 chip (possibly mosfet) nearby might have been hit as well.
Would need a photo of the back of this area but from revision 1.1 as the 1.0 was slightly different from what I saw in videos on yt.
But pictures say more than a thousand words. You can see exactly what it's all about.
Boardview or schematic would also be great, but probably not available as rel new.
There you would know exactly the designation of the 2 chips, one of which you can recognise, a 6pin . SMD code K27.
Maybe someone can help me with a good picture of the back or BV, etc.

Best regards and have a nice Sunday.

      Hello aliencomputres,
      thanks for your message.
of course I intend to do that, but on closer inspection you can see that an additional 3-pin SOT-23 chip (possibly N-channel mosfet) seems to be completely torn off.
With a highres picture or Boardview or Schematic you would have the exact designation required to get a replacement and solder it back there after repairing the track.
      Best regards

        hi
so, after cleaning the respective portion you can follow the respective tracks under a microscope, and restore it!

          Hello,
yes so far clear, but how or how do I know which 3-pin chip is missing on the right without a circuit diagram or board view? I'm guessing a 2n7002 but would like to be sure.
          Best regards

There is a radical way. Buy same board, check what you need, and give it back unused. Many online shops allow to do so for no reason.

              Hi DynaxSC,

hmm, that's a really radical method, that would be very unpleasant for me.
Especially as I need exactly the revision 1.1 of the board, as I saw in Youtube videos during unboxing etc. that the 1.0 did not have a small mosfet at that point.
              Probably changed from 1.1 onwards.
This makes the whole thing even more difficult, although it's only about small chips in the cent range. Without knowing what was there, it's really difficult.
A correct Rev: version boardview could of course also help, but is very difficult to obtain with relatively new boards.
I also think that maybe in the Tomahawk MAG series the part is more common there, as some things are the same within a series.
Let's see, maybe time will help and something will happen in one direction.

              Best regards

Hi, you can also just try with a 2n7002, principally there are 5-6 options, eg. N or P mosfet, npn or pnp transistor or a dual diode with common cathode or anode. Most probable is 2n7002. The chance that something more will be demaged is very low, as these are all weak signals, so I would go for the risk. Then you have to test the board in each detail, to go sure everything is working correctly.

                  Missing Capacitator Intel I9-12900KF CPU
                  by ein_individuum
I bought a use Intel I9-12900KF CPU and i received it damaged. But it looks like only one component one the backside is missing. But the solder pads looks fine.
I already "googled" it and compare the backside picture of other LGA1700 12th Gen CPU. They look all the same, no matter if its an I9 or an I3, even the Pentium. And at that spot should be a capacitor.

Does anyone have a schematics or assembly diagramm of the alder-lake cpu-backside? Or just know what size and value i need to replace the missing capacitator.

                  MacBook Pro A2485 820-02100 - 5V/0.4A after liquid damage
                  by atamanenko
Hello! I'm attempting to repair 820-02100 after liquid damage. There were several affected areas: UT000, U5700, UF750 and their surrounding capacitors and resistors, UR600 audio ic, several capacitors on the backside of U8100 (namely C80A3, C80A0, C8060, C8061, C8103). After thorough cleaning of the board, I started measuring around the affected areas and found PPVIN_P3V8AON and PPVOUT_KBDLED_CONN shorted. I replaced UT000 and U5700 and like 20 more components on PPVIN_P3V8AON line for good measure until every last corroded component and the short went away. After that I tried powering on (naked...

Alto TS315 Powered speaker with No Power - RESOLVED
                  by mon2
Hello. A quick writeup on a powered 1000W speaker that came in this morning with no power. The GREEN power led was dark. Fuse was tested and found to be ok.

Removed the power supply / amp combination from backside of the unit for inspection. Started to test in diode mode for possible shorts on the board.

The cabling from the AC socket to the switch was failing but would work with some wiggling of the same cable (brown in our case).

Upon closer inspection, found that there is some factory applied black epoxy to secure the tabs in place? With some elbow grease...
