Hello everyone, I am seventy now and still tinkering around. It all start all those years ago on black & white TVs replacing valves. caps and resistors. And all you need then was a screwdriver, soldering iron, multimeter, a oscilloscope, signal generator and frequency meter . Fast forward to current times, besides specialised screwdriver set and multimeter. hot air, microscope, donor boards, glue, various tapes, ultrasonic cleaner and a power supply for injecting voltage. What next.....Step forward AI....

        Hey guys, new here.

I have about 10 years in the Service Desk space and about half of that in the repair world. Just looking to learn about component level repair!

Hi everyone, new member from Germany here. Looking for some help here. I always enjoy learning new skills. When my beloved Lenovo Yoga X1 gen1 had a black screen a couple of years ago, I was so happy when I found a faulty smd fuse with uncle googles help. Currently I have an old Intel based Macbook here with a faulty backlight, maybe I find some useful information here...

          Have a good one!

                      Hey everyone,

Glad to be joining the forum! I'm from Brazil🇧🇷, born in 1992. My curiosity for electronics and how things work started early — I think my first “Frankenstein” build was with a Meccano set and some random toy parts I probably wasn’t supposed to take apart 😅.

Since then, I’ve always loved opening things up, understanding how they work — from light switches at home to my 1992 motorbike. A few months ago I started messing with my old cellphone, then moved on to fixing friends' phones. Now I'm working on my laptop — an Acer Aspire A315-41 — which actually led me here while looking for schematics and help.

I'm not a professional, just someone who enjoys learning, experimenting, and fixing what I can. Excited to learn more from the community and maybe help out where I can too.

                      Thanks for having me!

                      Fala, pessoal!

e quindi ora... sei bloccato con me :P

Allora, qual è la tua storia? Dai... raccontala...
Hello everyone... my name is Mauri and I follow you from Italy. I am a pretty solitary guy and I like food in all its versions.

Hey everyone! My background is in manufacturing but I've been getting into repairing electronics as a hobby and want to better my understanding of how circuits work and to be able to achieve more complex fixes. Hello guys and girl (probably most of all boys :-),

my name is Daniel and i living in a small village in Germany near a town called Osterode, its located in the south west of the "Harz" region. I am 37 years old and i have been working with computers since my childhood. My passion is to make things better and faster with high quality look and function. I optimize Hardware, Software and cars with mostly no help and i make modifications often with my one hands.

I learned" lathe and milling cutter" and i think my dexterity is very high because i love perfection. But this is sometimes very tiring :-/. In my family there are very big problems, but i have a perfect father and a big house, so i am very thankful :-).

I am here to get some informations for my MSI GE67 Notebook, because i want to updrage the VRam to 16GB.
