Hello, I'm Dave and I'm a software engineer and have worked in computer and peripheral hardware, computer networking, cloud services and other technical areas over the past 25+ years. I have always dabbled in electronics and occasionally work on personal projects but nothing professional.

I'm currently working on a discovery project on a piece of NEC hardware and looking for some help figuring a few things out and see some other members discussing these devices recently, so mainly intend to see if I can get some insight on that and hopefully collaborate on other things with members as future opportunities arise.

Been trying to repair my Macbook pro 2020 a2289 when I stumbled upon this forum.
Apparently, it's just probably a capacitor or inductor, I don't know which (that's why I'm here) but there is a particular component that is blown and preventing the logic board from powering on beyond a few seconds.

j'ai 50 ans, j'ai étudié l'électronique dans ma jeunesse et j'ai travaillé dans ce secteur pendant longtemps; différents emplois, le dernier était R&D et contrôle de production pour une entreprise qui fabriquait des systèmes d'alarme de voiture avec des microcontrôleurs dans leurs produits ...

j'ai même créé des équipements de test pour les lignes de production que nous avions.

Après cela, il semblait que les fabricants d'électronique avaient quitté mon pays (ou du moins ma région) ...

J'ai finalement réussi à entrer à l'ITC grâce à un programme scolaire après avoir commencé à jouer avec le PC, en privé, en septembre 1997. Mon fils allait faire de l'informatique à l'école et avait demandé que nous ayons enfin notre propre PC. C'est aussi grâce à mon fils que je suis entré dans les jeux PC.

Quoi qu'il en soit, j'ai travaillé dans l'ITC professionnel pendant près de 4 ans lorsque j'ai été licencié.

Je suis toujours sans travail maintenant, mais de temps en temps je travaille sur les PC des particuliers et je vais essayer de trouver un emploi dans une entreprise qui fait ça pour gagner sa vie
