          Introduction tschanuka

          Hi guys,

my name is Sven from germany and I am an IT systems electronics specialist (translated from german).
I am running a laptop repair business specialized in chip level repair (like changing GPU, north, south, short circuits etc.) for about a year now.
Before that I was working a few years as a laptop tech for an IT broker.

There are still many things to learn...and sure learning will never stop.
I am glad I found this forum because it is english speaking and the community seems to be nice. Normally I read in popular russian and polish forums but my language knowledge is not that good to participate on discussions. Hope my english is good enough to do so here.

So that´s it from me. See you guys.
          I'm from Germany
Please excuse if my English is not so good or misleading. Trying my best.

            good day to you all

I'm a Romanian network and systems' engineer in the mid 20's, whose first encounter with microcomputers dates to kindergarten, when I used to write small chunks of BASIC code on a HC'85 (a Romanian equivalent to a Commodore 64, produced in Romania with French support and using a Zilog Z80 CPU). Those were the days.
I've been tinkering with IBM PC compatible computers since my first second hand 386SX/20, I'm keen on solving hardware as well as software issues and had some experience with electronic DIY devices (I used to put together all kinds of electronic gadgets with my soldering iron). I got a master's degree in Advanced Software Engineering and I used to be a pretty good software coder in college.
I'm currently looking for a country closer to the Greenwitch Meridian )

Anything I can do to help you in my areas of expertise feel free to ask.

Venezuela) reps of DEC; this was when one could fix to component

I joined because i have a FSP048-3PI01 power supply in my LCD display that's dead. I replaced the 470uF and 1000uF caps but that didn't do the trick.

I've been a long time computer guru on the software side of things, but my component-level repair skills are still pretty mediocre. I'm another victim of the short-lived Samsung SyncMaster 226, and came across this forum as I tried to find appropriate part numbers for the failing caps (in this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=7900 )
