This is my first post.
I discovered this forum because I need to cleanup some passwords on my laptops since my kids decided to put some passwords and can't remember them !!
I live in Europe and have some IT knowledge but not the good expertise in electronics.
I hope I will be able to find good help here.

Hello found this thread via Microsoft CoPilot due to faulty soldered memory chip on my ThinkPad T14 Intel variant. Maybe I will be able to repair by disabling the on-board memory

Hello everyone,

I’m working on an ASUS TUF VG247Q1A gaming monitor with mainboard number 715GB717-M0B-T01-004I.

• The original scaler IC (NT68876UMFG QFP176) was faulty, so I replaced it with a new one.
• Now the monitor is detected in Windows (EDID works) but the screen is completely black — no backlight and no OSD.
• From what I understand, this is because the firmware on the SPI flash (25Qxx chip near the scaler) is missing or corrupted.

👉 I’m looking for a firmware dump (.bin file) for this exact board so I can reprogram the SPI flash and get the monitor working again.

If anyone has this board and can provide a dump, or knows where I can download it, I’d greatly appreciate your help 🙏
