    Hello everyone.

I'm new to the community but well-versed in electronics. I really enjoy the art of electronics. I have a lot of non-professional technical experience, and I enjoy collaborating with others who, like me, may need help. You can always count on my help, as long as you have the knowledge.
    Best regards to everyone.

Loved electronics when I was a boy. Built my first computer, a ZX81, from a kit, then computers took over. Have been getting back into electronics repair, as a hobby.

                        Hey everyone, I’m T!

I grew up between New Jersey and Maryland, and ever since I was a kid I’ve been hooked on electronics. I still remember the first time I took apart our family computer just to see how it worked and the thrill of putting it back together again. That curiosity has stuck with me ever since.

Over the years, I turned that curiosity into skills. I became a certified computer technician and an IPC Specialist, and now I’m pushing myself further by working on my CompTIA Security+ certification. I’ve had some fun stops along the way too, including working at Shore Printed Circuits in New Jersey, where I sharpened my PCB soldering skills, and more recently, building Centaur robots at Teledyne FLIR for military applications.

Outside of work, I love staying hands-on. I started out fixing smartphones for friends and family, and that grew into modding PS5 controllers with back buttons and other tweaks to make gaming more fun. That mix of hobby and career eventually inspired me to launch my own repair business, where I keep learning every day while helping others.

I’m excited to be here, swap knowledge, and connect with people who are just as passionate about electronics and repair as I am. Looking forward to sharing what I know and picking up new skills from all of you!

                                  Informal introduction.

I have been in electronic repair and design for over 30 years. I got my EET certification when I was 16 Started at ITT when I was 17 and dropped out by 18. Went into consumer electronics repair at 18. Mostly TV's VCR's Camcorder, and Specialized in Pro and Consumer Audio Equipment. Fast-forward about 15 years. I went to work for a few different large manufacturing companies as a diagnostics tech, then a test engineering tech. After several years of that, I moved into test design and system integration. I have dozens of certifications in electronics and computers. I was part of the team that brought new products in and designed test integration and qualification standards. I also designed and built the test equipment.
