Hi everyone, I’m Ronald. I’m originally from the Philippines and currently based in Saudi Arabia. I’ve spent 20+ years in IT support, electronics repair, and telecom—lots of board-level troubleshooting (PSU recaps, VRM and power-rail faults, backlight/LED driver issues, laptop charging circuits/PMICs, and the occasional tablet/phone board).

I’m also a hardware tinkerer (Hackintosh/OpenCore, USB mapping) and do some software on the side (Android + Firebase/Firestore; current projects include BeeHire CONNECT and eSelf). I joined Badcaps to trade repair notes, learn from the pros here, and share whatever I can.

If you have favorite tips on cap selection, SMPS troubleshooting flow, or common culprits on laptop power trees, I’m all ears. Thanks for having me!

I'm an embedded SW developer with working knowledge of digital electronics. I repair electric/electronic things around the house. Sometimes I am able to bring the thing back to life. Other times I just manage to release the magic smoke.
